How Before You Approve handles and protects submitted information.
Effective date: July 27, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Information I collect
I collect information you choose to provide when you use the website, complete the intake form, place an order, upload documents, or contact me. This may include your name, email address, telephone number if provided, property or service address if provided, contractor or company names, proposal details, inspection findings, photographs, reports, messages, and other supporting documentation.
Basic technical information may also be collected automatically by the website or its service providers, such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, and approximate location derived from an IP address. This information is generally used to operate, secure, and improve the website.
2. How I use information
I use submitted information to evaluate whether a request fits the service, communicate about missing materials, process and fulfill an order, prepare and deliver the customer’s analysis, provide support, maintain business and tax records, prevent misuse, protect legal rights, and improve the website and customer experience.
3. Uploaded documents and sensitive information
Please submit only the information reasonably needed for the analysis. Before uploading documents, you should remove Social Security numbers, bank-account details, full payment-card numbers, medical information, passwords, and other unrelated sensitive information. I do not need that information to provide this service.
4. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Before You Approve does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. Stripe processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices.
5. Forms and other service providers
The intake form is provided through Tally. Website hosting, file storage, email, payment processing, and other operational functions may be provided by third parties. These providers may process information as needed to perform their services or as otherwise permitted by their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Analytics, cookies, and session-replay tools
Analytics tools are used to understand how visitors use the website and to improve page clarity and performance. Google Analytics may collect page views, interactions, referral information, browser and device information, approximate location, and identifiers stored through first-party cookies or similar technologies.
Microsoft Clarity may collect interaction and session information used to create heatmaps and session replays, including clicks, taps, scrolling, browser and device information, and related usage data. Passwords and complete payment-card information are not entered on this website; the intake and payment steps are handled through Tally and Stripe.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load when you visit the website so I can understand site usage and improve the customer experience. These tools do not receive the documents or photographs you submit through the secure Tally intake form, and they do not receive your complete payment-card information. You can limit or remove cookies through your browser settings and may use the privacy controls offered by Google and Microsoft.
7. When information may be shared
I do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the business; when required by law, court order, or lawful process; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security concerns; to enforce agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the business, customers, or others.
8. Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, and protect the business. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
9. Data security
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. However, no website, email system, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Customers should keep copies of their original documents and avoid sending information that is not needed for the service.
10. Your choices and requests
You may contact hello@beforeyouapprove.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted. A request may be limited when retention is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business-record purposes. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
11. Children’s privacy
This website and service are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact me so it can be addressed.
12. Links to other websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Before You Approve is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.
13. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the website, service, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised policy applies to future activity.
14. Contact
