A new-home WDI report recommended fumigation for old-house borers and powderpost beetles. The visible damage was old and did not show current activity in the submitted information, helping the homeowner avoid an unsupported $30,000 expense.
Unnecessary treatment separated from needed work
Old termite-tunnel stains did not support another termite treatment, but the crawlspace showed a major moisture issue. The homeowner received an honest explanation of why moisture correction and encapsulation were warranted even though termite treatment was not.
